1 Solid Waste Management Plan Recyclable Items Solid Waste Management Plan, that makes solid waste service more efficient, Unincorporated Gwinnett County is part of a cost effective, and environmentally friendly. The state of Georgia requires all of its counties to work toward reducing the solid waste deposited in landfills, and this plan will accomplish that goal. Please note this does not apply to city residents. Under the plan, homeowners have the opportunity to recycle many different items as part of their regular solid waste pickup service.
