1 Ex f information any View o port The information displayed in most Views in Miradi can be exported to a file, which you can then open in other applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel or Powerpoint . and edit / format . . . se the File menu, “ Export current page as ” U to export any screen ; t here are four formats available - and PNG  JP E G Image Image formats create an image of what appears on the s creen; the image can then be copied into other documents format puts the screen information into a do cument, retaining the formatting and  RTF File Miradi symbols; the file can then be opened in Word  Tab - D elimited Table creates a text file that can be opened in Excel; this format is useful for lists and tables of information were the Miradi symbols are not required See examples below for – Export Example – a Diagram ( in JPEG or PNG formats ) Example Export the Viability Table ( in RTF format ) – – Export the Threat Table (in PNG or RTF format) Example – Export the Workplan (in Tab or RTF format) Example 1 | P a g e

2 Example ) Export a Diagram ( in JPEG or PNG formats –  Use the JPEG or PNG formats to create images of items like Conceptual Models, Results Chains, or Threat Tables. , then Export Current Page as , and choose  Once your diagram is displayed, u se the File menu . . . JPEG Image or PNG Image 300%  The screen prompt lets you change the resolutions – is recommended. -  Both the formats will produce JPEG and PNG - images that look the same, but PNG format will generally be smaller in file size 2 | P a g e

3 Export the Viability Table ( in RTF format ) – Example  Format the Viability Table to show the data that you want to export . For example – o You can click & drag on column headers to re - order the columns in a table “ to expand or collapse rows o Click “+” or “ - , for example, to show or hide the Measures  U se the File menu , choose Export Current Page as . . . , choose RTF File  Give your file a Name and Save it or similar; the Miradi symbols and colours will be retained  Open your RTF file in Microsoft Word 3 | P a g e

4 you can then reformat the table or copy / paste it into other documents.   and keep the Miradi formatting, first open the RTF in if you want to use a table like this in Excel, (Excel can’t open an RTF file) Word, then copy and paste it into Excel you can export data from any vie w  such as detailed information stored in tabs within in this way, Summary View - 4 | P a g e

5 Table Example Export the Threat – (in PNG or RTF format)  You can change the f ormat of the Threat T able if you wish – re order the columns by clicking and dragging the column headers - o resize the columns by clicking and dragging on the border between column headers o –  The Threat Table can be exported as an image  The Threat Table can also be exported as an RTF file , and used in documents ; above see instructions in the Viability Table example 5 | P a g e

6 Export the Workplan (in Tab or RTF format) – Example to show the data that you want to export. For example Format the Workplan View  – o Use “ Customize Table ” to show / hide different types of columns and rows - You can click & drag on column headers to re order the columns in a table o Click “+” or “ - “ to expand or collapse rows, for example, to show or hide the Activities o The Years displayed in workplan view are set in the Planning  tab in Summary View Tab Delimited Table . . . , choose  U se the File menu , choose Export Current Page as 6 | P a g e

7 Your file will be saved with the name you enter, and a suffix of “ txt ”   You can open a TXT file in several different applications, depending on your system settings –  The Workplan data can also be opened from within Excel – use File, Open, then display “All Files” –  usually the defaults will be already set The Text Import Wizard will display – Next ensure “ Delimited ” is ticked, then click o o ensure “ Tab ” is ticked, then click Next ” ticked, then click Finished ensure “ o General 7 | P a g e

8 can now format the data You  -  From Excel you can print your report, or save it as a PDF If you want to keep the Miradi symbols and colours  in your workplan, export your data in RTF in the Viability Table example above format and follow the instructions 8 | P a g e

9 - The other tables in Workplan View can be exported the same way, such as  able, showing how many days of work have been allocated to each o the Resources T on the project team person - the Accounting Codes Table, showing the expenses budgeted for each account; o this format , once in Excel, might be suitable for importing into your Finance System - (depending on which system you use) 9 | P a g e
